Conacul Ursului Hotel is located on one of the most spectacular auto routes in the world, the famous DN7C (Transfagarasan) at km 104, 68 km from Curtea de Arges, 91 km from Sibiu, 104 km from Pitesti and 214 km from Bucharest.

TRANSFAGARASAN is one of the two high altitude roads in Romania, rising to 2042 meters above the sea level. Located on National Road 7C, it crosses the highest mountain range in Romania, Fagaras Mountains, linking Transylvania and Wallachia.

The Transfagarasan road starts in the Bascov village near Pitesti, Arges, towards the town Curtea de Arges and ends at the intersection with DN1 road between Sibiu and Brasov, near the village Cartisoara. It is 151 km in length.

Conacul Ursului Hotel is placed at an altitude of 1285 m in a spectacular and wild area, on the edge of the alpine coniferous forest with alpine meadows, on the Capra river shore.

Car access is allowed throughout the year from Arges county; between 1st of July to 1st of November the access can, also, be made from Sibiu (via Cartisoara - Lake Balea)
